Have you felt like a zombie feeling, the walking dead unattractive character, after few stumbles of minimal and no sleep?

If you eat well and exercise regularly, but don't get atleast seven hours of sleep every night, you may be sabotaging all your other efforts.
The doctor's always suggests a good diet and exercise to everyone, but advised sleep is also a pivotal add on to the list.

Shorting yourself with cat-napping has a negative impact on your health. Chronic sleep deprivation can even affect your appearance, it can lead to premature wrinkling and dark circles under the eyes. There's also a link between lack of sleep and increase in the stress hormone, cortisol, in the body. Cortisol can break down collagen, the protein that keeps skin smooth.
So lack of sleep means WRINKLES, does it resonate with the zombies example who are wrinkled throughout and worn out, who have no freewill and come straight from zombieland only during sun-down?
Well, we are no zombies or a corpse but living beings who needs the body systems to operate accurately for a better living and mental health, continuation without sleep will result in high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure or stroke.
How Do We Sleep Better?
Sleep hygiene must be seen as a medicine to the body.
Prioritising your sleep has to be at the top of your list, not at the bottom. Scheduling your sleep and sticking to it can help in a big way.
Keeping a consistent wake time.
Waking at the same time whether a weekend or a weekday will help you spring up better after a great nights sleep. Training yourself through relaxation techniques like having a warm bath and reading a book before bedtime, will help you move easily to take a siesta.

Put Away Your Digital Access.
Electronic device keep your MIND whizzing not to sleep and it's a wake up time. So smartphones and tablets is a big NO, if you want to get into a routine, put them away atleast an hour or two before bedtime.
Set Boundaries In Your Work And Social Life.
It's easy for the demands of your personal or professional life to scrape away at your dedicated time for sleep, so it's helpful to set boundaries so that you secure the full time you need for rest each night.
Make The Most Of The Day.
Getting frequent sunlight exposure during the day supports a healthy circadian rhythm that helps you to be alert during the day and sleepy at night. Regular physical activity can also contribute to a normal sleep schedule, so try to engage in atleast moderate exercise everyday.

Is Sleep Deprivation Different from Insomnia?
While both sleep deprivation and insomnia involve falling asleep, experts make a dissimilarity between them. People with insomnia have trouble sleeping even when they have plenty of time to sleep. On the other hand, people with sleep deprivation don't have enough time set aside for sleep as a result of behaviour choices or day-to-day commitments.
What Happens While You're Sleeping?
Your brain cautiously filters out noises that might wake you up as you sleep, specially those that don't propose you're in danger.
It's impossible to sneeze while sleeping.
Most people burn more calories while they sleep than they do watching television.
Light exposure, even just to the glowing numbers on an alarm clock can cause sleep disturbances even if it doesn't wake you up.

Sleep is an essential as eating and breathing, yet we struggle to make time for it given our brimming schedules. We are constantly under pressure to fit more work in, and with the online world at our finger tips "twenty - four seven", it's become harder to get quality seven to eight hours of sleep each night. The warnings are clear cut that sleep deprivation can have a disastrous effect on our health.
Quality sleep helps you perform better at work, maintain a healthy weight, and even decrease your chances of getting cancer.
Let us not sleep deprive ourselves resulting in Psychological and Mental Health distress.
THE BOTTOM LINE THE FURTHER YOU GAIN KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SLEEP, THE MORE EXCELLENT SLEEP YOU CAN ACQUIRE.
